When a team member returns a device or leaves the company, use these steps to bring the asset back into your available inventory.
1. Sign In: Log into your portal account.
2. Navigate: Head to the left-hand menu and select Assets > Computers.
3. Search for the device by its Serial Number or Asset Tag.
4. Change the Status dropdown to "Stock In" this tells the team the item is ready to be redeployed.
5. Save: Click Save to update the record.
Quick Tip: Before clicking Save, use the Comments section to note the condition of the item (e.g., "Returned with minor scratches" or "Needs battery replacement") so the next technician knows exactly what to expect.
Pro-Tip: If you have a stack of items to check in at once, scanning the QR codes sequentially is the fastest way to clear users and reset statuses without searching for each record manually.
