(SOAP) 13. How to Check-Out an Asset via the Mobile App

Issuing equipment to a team member is quick and easy using the mobile scanner. Follow these steps to assign an asset on the spot:

Steps to Check-Out:

  1. Open the Scanner: On the app dashboard, tap the QR Scanner button at the bottom center of your screen.
  2. Scan the Asset: Point your camera at the physical QR code label attached to the computer or device.
  3. Verify Asset Details: The app will automatically open the Checked-In Details page for that item.
  4. Pre-Issue Inspection: * Perform a quick check of the device.
    • If you notice any pre-existing minor wear or issues, add a note in the Comments section so it is documented before the user receives it.
  5. Assign the Asset:
    • Select Check-Out from the status drop-down menu.
    • Select the User who is receiving the device from the user drop-down menu.
  6. Finalize: Tap the Check-Out button to complete the assignment.

Quick Tip: Double-check that you have selected the correct name from the user list to ensure our inventory records stay accurate and the right person is linked to the device.

All set! The asset is now officially assigned to the user, and the portal will update their profile immediately.
